Parents are our key partners in achieving success for our children. We share regular
updates on children's progress across all seven areas of our curriculum. In early
years children can develop quickly – some children make small steps of progress
daily, while others stay in one place for a longer period before a big "burst" of
development clustered at a similar time. When children first join us, we take time to get to know them and gently find out
through play where they are in their development – without any pressure or "testing".
We build a picture of each child's interests, abilities and starting points to help us
respond well to emerging needs. We identify and act on any areas of concern early,
and plan meaningful next steps in partnership with parents. Where it would benefit a
child, we also share home learning activities so that parents can build on children's
learning and next steps at home. We hope all new parents will continue our strong tradition of cooperation and
partnership working.
