At Precious Smiles, inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. We hold high expectations
for every child and are committed to ensuring each one feels a genuine sense of belonging —
able to take part fully, achieve and thrive, whatever their starting points or individual needs.
We are committed to removing barriers to learning. We thoughtfully adapt our environment,
resources and daily routines so that every child can access play, exploration and learning
alongside their peers. Our inclusive approach reaches all our children who may need extra
support - including those with SEND, children who are disadvantaged or more vulnerable due
to specific family circumstances, and those who speak English as an additional language
(EAL) - so that no child is left behind. We work closely with a wide network of professionals, ensuring children and families can
access the right support and advice when it's needed most. Each branch has its own SEND
Lead, who works alongside our qualified SENCo and implements agreed strategies and
adaptations. The Area SENCo's input and recommendations also form part of our wider
SEND work with children and families. Where a child would benefit from more specialist input, we also work in partnership with
external professionals - such as Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists,
and Specialist Teachers. Having experienced people working alongside our children helps us
identify any additional needs early and accurately, so we can put timely, individualised
support in place. We also celebrate the rich diversity of our community and children. We warmly welcome
children and families of all cultures, languages and backgrounds, weaving this diversity into
our curriculum so that every child feels seen, valued and respected. Above all, we work in
close consultation with parents — because no one knows a child better than their family. We
value them as partners at every step of the journey.
